Plymouth Aquarium

National Marine Aquarium a short walk from the Athenaeum lodge Guest HouseLocated in the Baribican and next to the old  fishmarket, the modern building houses gigantic fish tanks, a lecture hall, a cafe and a shop.
Only a short walk from the Athenaeum Lodge Guest House, the National Marine Aquarium makes for a great day out for all the family. The Aquarium experience comprises a total of 50 live exhibits including 3 massive tanks, one of which is the deepest aquarium tank in Europe holding some 3.3 million litres of warmed seawater!

Over 4000 animals from 400 species are displayed in realistic habitats from local shorelines to coral reefs. In addition their technological zone, Explorocean focuses on ocean exploration and sustainability through innovative, interactive exhibits.
