Plymouth Classic Boat Rally

This event has been described as the friendliest and most enjoyable Classic Boat Rally in the south west of England and 2010 will be no exception. Spend a day at the stunning waterside location of Sutton Harbour and embark upon a journey of discovery into the world of classic boats.

Over 100 classic boats expected

Visitors include the 96ft two-masted topsail schooner Johanna Lucretia, built in Belgium in 1945 and being sailed over from Northern Ireland.

Rare outing for the Tamar sailing barge Shamrock, usually resident at the National Trust’s Cotehele Estate.

Replica Cornish lugger Spirit of Mystery, as sailed by Pete Goss in last-year’s re-enactment of an 11,800 mile journey from Cornwall to Australia.

All boats will be in Sutton Harbour throughout Saturday and Sunday. Parade of Sail on Monday.

Shoreside boatshow on Saturday and Sunday, with 40 stalls including marine suppliers, marine artists, traditional crafts and marine booksellers, along with the RNLI and Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

Live music throughout the weekend, and a range of shoreside displays.
