The Barbican International Jazz and Blues Festival 2010 brings music, fun and entertainment to the historic quayside quarter of Plymouth, UK.Cuban Music

We have a Grand Festival Jazz Parade and Swing Sunday, where thousands take to the streets, we have excellent free gigs, we have astounding ticketed performances and some magical music is made live in front of everyone’s eyes.

A tremendous success last year and no doubt will be even better this year. So come to Plymouth Barbican and have some fun.

Traffic arrangements for the Barbican. 4th May – 10th May

The Athenaeum Lodge Guest House has received this information about the traffic arrangements for the Barbican between the 4th May – 10th May.

This is a notice from Plymouth Transport and Highways.

Notice is hereby given that the driving of vehicles will be prohibited in the following areas:-

The order comes into force at 0900hrs on 4th May until 2200hrs on 10th May 2009.

(1) Southside Street from its junction with Notte Street to its junction with the Barbican.

(2) The Barbican from its junction with Southside Street southwards for a distance of 135 metres.

(3) Parade for its entire length east of the boundary between No’s 18 and 19 Parade.

The alternative route is via Notte Street, Hoe Approach, Hoe Road, Lambhay Hill, The Barbican.

The appropriate traffic signs will be displayed whilst the Barbican Internation Jazz Festival takes place.
